WCES Riding Center
Western Riding, Horsemanship Workshops, After-School Barn Club, and more!
We believe a barn should be a place to grow. This is a place to build confidence, find peace in nature, and foster a genuine connection with yourself and others.
Here, horses become the teachers. We believe the greatest lessons aren't just learned in the saddle—they're discovered within.
“There is much we can learn from a friend who happens to be a horse.”
— Aleksandra Layland

Safety and comfort are key! Please wear long, flexible pants like jeans or leggings. For footwear, a shoe with a hard sole and a small heel is recommended for safety (paddock boots or cowboy boots are perfect). Please avoid sandals, or any open-toed shoes.
-
Not to get started! We provide everything you need for your lesson, including a well-trained horse, all the necessary tack (saddle, bridle, etc.), and a professionally fitted, certified safety helmet, which is mandatory for all minors.

We generally start students in regular lessons around age 8. For younger children, we recommend an initial evaluation lesson to ensure they can comfortably and safely follow instructions. Our top priority is creating a positive and safe experience for every new rider!
